JE T'AIME PARIS
So with everything that has been going on recently I felt the need to get away and when my friend Ali asked me to go away to Paris with her I didn't need to think twice. I'm a complete francophile and even after all the palaces I have travelled to, I still think Paris is up there at the top. I love everything about it: the food, the culture, the fashion, the language (Can't bloody speak it well which sucks), the men. Oh god everything. If only I could speak French I would move there tomorrow (thinking of starting French lessons, or getting another French boyfriend to improve).
We ate lots of good food, drank lots of great wine, walked lots (Had to, to burn it all off!) and went to see lots of great exhibitions: Here are some of the highlights.
Les Arts Décoratifs had an amazing Sonia Rykiel exhibition on show casing all her work. Loved it and now I feel I have to get her jumper I have been eyeing up for ages on ASOS.
I want it!
Also on at Décoratifs was an amazing show on Art Deco Jewellery, which was my favourite. If only I could go back in time to the 20's and 30's and be a rich lady and wear all those gems.
Another amazing exhibition was Andy Warhol at the Grand Palais, which is probably the biggest exhibit I have ever been to, it went on and on, but was so worth it.
David LaChapelle on at the La monnaie is worth a look too. It was better than the Annie Lebowitz show, put on at the National portrait gallery recently.
Food wise the highlight was going to Cafe Angelina on the Lourve Rivoli which is one of the grandest old cafes in Paris. The cakes were to die for and my hot chocolate was just pure melted chocolate. Heaven!
I revisted the past by going to Chartier resturant which I last went to when I came to Paris with University, many moons ago. Its just such a traditional french restruant and has a great atmosphere. Its not to heavy on the purse either. To top it all off we got our meal paid for by the two French men sat next to us. It would have been even better if they were hot and not old enough to be our dads. Well you can't win them all!

FROM LONDON TO BARRY
Its only when I leave the big city that I realise how London I have become. This was the case the other day when we went to see our old Uni friend Nic in Barry in Wales, who had just had a baby. What seems cool and trendy in London just makes us look like complete fashion victim twat's anywhere in normal suburbia. We stuck out like sore thumbs in Barry, with me looking like a Suzi Quatro reject in my leather and Deb's was a cross between a new age traveller and a sailor girl. Even our 80's sunglasses just looked so ridiculous. Oh well at least we can laugh at ourselves and it was a good day out. Baby Megan was beautiful but I always knew Nic would never have an ugly baby. Nic looked well and I just couldn't get over the size of her tits. She use to be so flat. Maybe there is hope for me yet?

WEDDING BELLES
With everything that has gone on in my life recently, you would think that a wedding show is the last place I would want to be, but it turned to be a fun day out. My mum, after being with her partner, Paul, forever, has decided to finally take the plunge and get married next July on the exact date they met 25 years ago. Its the most anticipated wedding since Charles and Lady Di. All very exciting. To get some ideas me, Mum and my sister Paula decided to go to the National Wedding show at the NEC in Birmingham. As a person that has never been particularly bothered about getting married, I find it very interesting watching, all these young women preparing their wedding, an event which they have dreamed of for most of their life. The problem is, it seems to turn some of them into monsters or Bridezilla's as me and Paula call them. They push past everyone and take over everything, not letting anyone get a look in. Not that half of it was worth looking at. God! You should have seen some of the dresses some of them where trying on! Some people have no taste! I did find a cool store though called Fur coat and No Knickers which is just off Carnaby Street, and specialises in vintage wedding and evening dresses, which would be my choice for a wedding.
Mum tried on some lovely dresses and we think we know what dress and designer she is going to go for, but I can't show you the photos as that would be giving it away. So instead I'm going to show you some photos of people that have got that special day so wrong, that it is beyond words!
OBSERVATIONS
* Mum has decided that me and Paula can choose our bridesmaid dresses. Is she mad! Its like chalk and cheese together. We will never agree. I don't want to look like a wag and she does, just not do retro!
* I have been staying at Paula's and she has introduced me to the world of Wii fitness, which makes you stand on a board in front of the TV and do silly fitness moves that make you look like an idiot. It told me I have no fitness or balance. Tell me something I don't know!

10 THINGS GOOD ABOUT SPLITTING UP WITH YOU!
It happens all the time when it comes to romance. Love is found, love is lost and somebody ends up hurt. I have just split up with my boyfriend of 2 years who I lived with. Its not been a good break up in fact its been bloody horrendous! I'm not going into details, there is no need, but he has probably hurt me more, than anybody has hurt me. At the moment everything is raw and my emotions are all over the place. One minute I'm crying, the next angry: I'm laughing and strong, then I'm anxious. Its a process, that I must get through and that only time will make better. I'm lucky that I have such good family and friends around me for support, and it was one of my friends that gave me the following advice. Instead of focusing on the negative aspects of a break up I should list 10 things that is good about our break up: things that I will not miss or that bugged me. I'm told to use this exercise as a kind of therapy. So here we go, with my 10 things:
1. I can sleep on my side of the bed now, without you trying to say it was yours, all the time.
2. I can go to the fridge and find a chocolate moose and fruit juice still there, because you have not drank and ate it all.
3. I don't have to get you Birthday or Christmas presents anymore. Actually becoming single is a tip for all you people out there, to save money during the credit crunch.
4. I don't have to make apologizes for your rudeness anymore.
5. I don't have to listen to your crap German rap anymore.
6. I don't have to worry about my car coming back in one piece because you are such a bad driver.
7. I won't have to put up with you groping me all the time, like a piece of meat.
8. I can decorate my room and the office the way I want to.
9. I don't have to pick your dirty underwear off the floor anymore.
10. I don't have to feel constantly disappointed and let down with this relationship again!
I tell you what? I feel better for that already.
SUPPER SSAM!
It was my lovely flat mate, Ssam's birthday the other day. Ssam (Yes its spelt double S!) is a very talented fashion photographer from Seoul, Korea. She has worked for such magazine's as Wound and Nylon.
A birthday is always a good excuse to go and get a nice cake, but this time I decided to do something a little different. CUPCAKES! Ssam loves them and they are all the rage at the moment so I popped along to Selfridges and got a selection which consisted of Chocolate, carrot, Lemon and Vanilla. That topped off with a glass of Rose Champagne that Oli had brought, it was the best supper I have had in a while.
